Poet, Performer, Writer, Teacher
Caroline Burrows’ first full poetry collection Verse Cycles is now avaialable, published by indie-press The Jawbone Collective in March 2024. Her poetry has appeared on BBC Radio 4, BBC Sky at Night Magazine, and a documentary ‘The Bristol Bike Bard was officially selected for Kendal Adventure Film Festival. She’s been Poet in Residence at Cromarty Arts Trust, and performed her show at Belladrum Festival. Her one-woman poetry tour ‘Turning Pedals into Poems’ was shortlisted in the Saboteur Awards, and had her named one of Cycling UK’s #100WomenInCycling for touring from Bristol to Berwick-upon-Tweed by bike. She’s written mental health poetry commissions for Glenside Hospital Museum and Bristol Ideas, and eco-poetry for the ethical bank Triodos. Her year of daily eco-verses ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’ was short-listed for the Sustainability First Art Prize. Caroline has an MA in Creative Writing and runs poetry workshops, the next one being at Dundreggan Rewilding Centre.
